This is what I have managed to piece together so far, I am not sure if it was built as one of the last of the USA spec cars fitted with the Borg Warner 35 Automatic gear boxes but I am still looking everywhere for information.

If anyone who finds this website knows anything about the car it would be appreciated if they could pass on any information.

I have not included the past owners names as a respect of their privacy.

The car was first registered in New Zealand with the number plate HQ7019

This is the original New Zealand Number plate which came with the car and I now have it.

The New Zealand history.

The first owner appears to have kept the car for 15 years at WAIKANAE.

It was then sold to the next owner on the 24-Nov-1990 who kept it for 4 years selling it on 23-Mar-1994 this owner lived in KHANDALLAH

It then went to the next owner at HAVELOCK NORTH before being sold on 28-Mar-2000 when it was shipped to Australia

These are the New Zealand stickers still on the car at this stage I plan to leave them as they are part of its history.

The Australian history.

I was very fortunate the two previous Australian owners have provided me with all the registration and service receipts from which I can piece together its life in Australia.

It would appear to have been first registered in Melbourne on the 30th August 2000 ( QJW482 ) which gives a gap of 5 months from when it was de-registered in New Zealand, this period of 5 months would no doubt have been getting the car shipped over and getting the paperwork done to register it.

I do not know if it was imported by the person who would continue to own it until sometime in 2008.

It appears to have been sold sometime in 2008/2009 changing the registration number to (JRR 023) and then bought be me on the 18th November 2010

Providing the gods keep smiling it will be with me from now on until I can no longer drive as its doubtful my children will inherit the love of a Goddess but I still have plenty of time to get them to fall in love with it as they are all under 10.

An update 12/8/2020

The engine has been taken out and fully rebuilt with new pistons, liners, timing chain and tensioner as well as new valves and all seals and gaskets replaced.

All hoses have been replaced.

All the electrical parts, starter, alternator and the cooling fan have all been overhauled.

The exhaust pipes have been ceramic coated to help reduce the heat.

Machined the water pump to have a large bearing  installed in addition to the standard factory bearings.  

The steering rack was overhauled with all new seals.

We also installed and welded the reinforcing  plates on the front suspension.

Converted the air conditioning compressor to a rotary compressor instead of the reciprocating compressor.

All this plus flushing the old dark Green blood with some nice new light green blood and a lot of cleaning.

 Update 9/11/2020

It is now out at Eastern Creek having the exhaust converted to bolted flanges for the flex pipe instead of the  slide on seal.  (Yes! We know its not original but way more practical)

At the same time all new relays are being fitted for reliability as the original ones are getting a bit flaky.

Should be good for the next 50 years as we do not have to worry about rust as it has none we can find.
